Storytelling is a way of expression and interaction that uses stories to engage the audience. The goal is to raise awareness and persuade. The story may be one of the storyteller’s own or someone else’s, from which the audience can learn; it may also be a fable, a wisdom tale, a historic event, or an anecdote.

Storytelling can lend a helpful hand in an organization’s agile journey when it is used by agile leaders to communicate an inspiring vision, give a sense of meaning, and facilitate collaboration. It is the third agile management hack that’s worth every effort. Like the first two hacks — time-boxed decision making and emerging autonomy — storytelling has the same three features:

· It can be set up in three weeks.

· It can produce effect within three months, be it in teams, projects, operations, or any area targeted by the hack.

To implement it, we need to keep some key points in mind.

Key points of Storytelling:

- Give the story a higher purpose — which is to raise awareness and persuade — than mere information sharing.

- Develop a narrative arc to structure and shape the story so that the audience will be well…
